approx 2-3 % of the world population has it, i have it :)
how many people in the world suffer from ocd
Not that I know of. Obsessive complusive disorder is learned, or a coping mechanism in response to a trauma. Either way...it is a reaction to feeling you have no control. So you try to create control in your world/space. Therapy really does work...with the right therapist and a willingness to be open about what is really going on with you. There really is life after a diagnosis...be well
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a behaviour. Examples include repeatedly flicking a light switch a certain number of times or avoiding stepping on the cracks between paving stones in the street. These behaviours develop within a person usually as a coping mechanism or a way of making their world safe from a real or imagined threat/danger. So OCD can be a symptom of a phobia, but is not, in itself, a phobia.
It is estimated that approximately 1-2% of the global population may suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) at some point in their lives. OCD is a common mental health condition that can significantly impact a person's daily life and functioning.
