If a person's small intestine is not working well food will not digest properly and it can become backed up inside the intestine. The person may experience stomach pain and need to see a doctor to obtain medication for cleaning out the intestine.

Food enters the small intestine first. It enters the duodenum in the small intestine.
Food is passed from the stomach, and it goes through the long tube called the small intestine. In the villi it absorbs nutrients and sends it to the bloodstream, the small intestine is the biggest part of the digestive system, and the food is send to the large intestine where it is made into excrement.
The small intestine is where your food goes after the stomach. The small intestine digests your food, then sends it to the large intestine.
Not all or less digested food will be absorbed by the body.
Water in the undigested food will not be absorbed and the undigested food will be watery
After the small intestine, the digested food enters the large intestine, also known as the colon. The main function of the large intestine is to absorb water and salts from the material that has not been digested as food, and to help the body eliminate solid waste.
