Hi There, BPM = beats per minute not breaths. Breathing does not constitute the exact amounts of your heart beating, its more supplying oxygen to your systems. In a normal relaxed state humans stay around a 60bpm pulse/heart rate. If you start to reach 100-120 you are either panicing or in a distressed state (or have high blood pressure, high blood sugar etc)
Pulse Rate is the number of times your heart beats in a minute. Breathing Rate (Respiratory Rate) is the number of times you breathe in one minute.
A normal respiratory rate for a kitten is typically between 20-30 breaths per minute.
Respiratory rate. Breath rate, or respiration rate.
number of beats per minute stimulates respiratory rate
Respiration rate refers to the number of breaths taken per minute. It is a vital sign used to monitor a person's respiratory health and function. Changes in respiration rate can indicate problems such as respiratory distress or illness.
Why does the respiratory rate change depending on age?
An abnormal respiratory rate is the number of times that a person breathes in one minute that is outside of the normal range of respirations in most people. The average normal rate for adults is 60 to 90, and for infants it is 100 to 140.
The three characteristics of a respiratory rate are rate, depth, and rhythm.

You can determine the rate of a reaction mechanism having fast equilibrium by the number of hydrogen ions that are present. If the reaction has a high number of hydrogen ions then the reaction will have fast equilibrium.

I do not think it is the "number of strides." It is achiving your THR (target heart rate) and maintaining that rate x 20-30 minute that constitutes an good workout.
