The extremities, hands or feet, can be cool to touch. Dizziness can occur when the child rises from the lying to sitting position and/or from the sitting to standing position. In more extreme cases, the heart will attempt to compensate for the decrease in pressure by increasing rate. Loss of consciousness, blurred vision, disorientation, dry mouth, color change in the extremities all can occur in more extreme cases. Call your doctor if you are concerned. Call 911 if you have an emergency. Jesus is the light.
hypotension, tacycardia and low Bp
Blood pressure of 120/80 mmHg is normal. Low blood pressure is a top number reading lower than 90 or pressure 25 mmHg lower than usual. Moderate to severe high blood pressure is a top number 160 or over or the bottom number of 100 or over.
Varies quite a bit, BUT 1. anytime you experience orthostatic hypotention (light headedness on standing) OR 2. a BP reading of below about 90/50 you should suspect low bp.
No. But any symptoms will be much more of a guide. Does the person feel dizzy? Lightheaded? Do they often stumble/fall or faint? Any dizziness on getting up from a chair or out of bed? These symptoms will be a better way to tell if the BP is too low than just the numbers.
I am a healthy active 52 yr old retired female who still has 100/60 BP and had lower than yours BP at your age and did just fine, Also low (48 resting heart rate). Don't worry. Enjoy your youth. The Rabbit
That is a fairly low BP. it would really depend on what her bp runs normally. That is still low enough to be concerned especially if it is consistent. There are other factors you would need to look at also, such as pulse rate, general feeling, etc. If it continued I would see MD
Yes, as long as it is under 120/80 you are fine. If it seems a bit low but you are not getting symptoms (dizziness, fainting, visual disturbances, general fatigue) then there is nothing to worry about.
Not usually. More likely it is a sign of low glucose (blood sugar).
Yes, it is a good BP for a 72 year old.
Your BP is in the 'low normal' range. Being fatigued may have nothing to do with your BP.
Sometimes because then you'll get all shakey and i think you'll pass out or get a heart attack. If your blood pressure's about done. It depends how low. Your body needs a certain bp to get oxygen everywhere. If your bp is too low you go into shock.
Doctors will take whole body function and tissue perfusion more into account. However a low- ish bp would be 100/40 mmHg
