What vein carry blood away from the Large intestine?

After looking up Google Images, I think it's the left gastric vein that leads right out of the stomach, while the inferior vena cava carries blood from all parts of your body except for your head.

It depends on which section of the large intestine you are refering to:

1. ascending colon , 2/3 transverse colon - superior mesenteric vein
2. transverse and sigmoid, rectum - inferior mesenteric

both of these then link up with the portal circulation that goes through the liver :)
