The earliest forms of alchemy may have been around for well over 2,500 years and is still practiced today whether in the classical term alchemy or in the fields it gave birth to or influenced which include: chemistry, medicine, philosophical and/or spiritual discipline, Metallurgy, physics, Astrology, semiotics, mysticism, spiritualism, and art. It's basic form has been practiced in Europe, Mesopotamia, ancient Egypt, Persia, India, Japan, Korea, China, Classical Greece and Rome, and in the Muslim civilizations while in the varying forms it either gave birth to or influenced it can be assumed it is practiced in even small parts of every modern country, though this is just a rough estimate.
