You don't take depressants. You take anti-depressants, which counters being depressed.
Well if you are a teen anti depressants are more likely to make you depress even more, but remember usually they take weeks to cure you depression if you just started taking them???
A depressant drug does not actually make you depressed. It's called a depressant because it slows your system down, slower heart rate and breathing. People take depressants such as painkillers (pills, opium and heroin) or benzodiazapines such as Xanax and Valium because they relax you and in the case of painkillers give you a body high that makes you feel numb and good.
Depression is caused by a chemical imbalance. There are no foods, vitamins, or herbs which cause or cure it. However, when you're depressed, you don't take good care of yourself. It's common to eat unhealthy foods when depressed, and unhealthy eating can make you feel more tired and sluggish. So it does not make you depressed, but it does not make you feel any better, either. The best way to handle depression is to make yourself eat right and take care of yourself.
they are bad for you
You should be able to. They warn against certain anti-depressants and excedrin, as they can make you bruise or bleed more easily, but since it's an anticonvulsant, you should be fine. (I take both and I've never had issues.)
You won't gain weight if you do cardio for 30 mins 3-7 times a week. If not than yes you will, and if you have the option to workout and not take anti depressants than work out. Needless to say, if you require it than take the pills and workout.
Anti-Depressants because they just take more and more of them, thinking they will get better and they end-up over-dosing.
If you think that your husband is depressed then talk to him, tell him that you love him and that you will always be there for him, care for him, and love him. Some men wont open up about their feelings if you talk to them. Persuade him to go to see his GP who may be able to prescribe him anti-depressants, give him an alternative diet to follow, encourage him to go to see a councellor, or take up something creative or even just rest which should make him feel better. Your GP will know what can be done and hopefully if you take his advice then soon your husbands depression will ease and maybe even disappear.
No this is not recommended at all. Shrooms can cause a great deal of anxiety even if you have a very clean and happy experience. Anti-depressants can exacerbate this anxiety to very profound levels. This can cause the user to become extremely paranoid and anxious and lead to a trip to the hospital. If you're going to trip shrooms, don't take the anti-depressants. Also, if you are being prescribed anti-depressants you should steer clear of hallucinogenics because they temporarily alter your brain chemistry and can lead to depression or the "blues" for a few days after the trip (from first hand experience multiple times). If you're already depressed it will only be worse. Please be nice to your brain. (From an experienced tripper and microbiology student)
Since anti depressants take a week or two to become effective, taking an oral dose (a pill) is the common way to take anti depressants. Or at least, I assume that you meant antidepressants.
Usually because they are depressed, and the medication is made to take it away. Others take it for recreational purposes, because it can make you feel happy.
It creates anti-depressants to take when we are sad.
