The thigh muscle
Calf ,thigh ,finger ,and butt mucles
The muscle located between the hip and thigh is called the iliopsoas.
I recently pulled a muscle in my back (or so the ER doc told me) and I have since noticed a numb spot in the back of my left thigh. I have also noticed that my left calf muscle is very weak. I cannot even stand up on my toes with that foot.
The knee is the joint that is between the thigh and calf on a human. The knee has two articulations and it connects the thigh bone to the two calf bones.
The connecting tendon between the calf and the thigh is the Achilles tendon. It is the largest tendon in the body and attaches the calf muscles (gastrocnemius and soleus) to the heel bone (calcaneus), allowing for movement such as pointing the foot and pushing off the ground while walking or running.
Your thigh muscle is called your Quadricep.
The thigh is comprised of quite a few muscles. The main muscles that people usually refer to fall into two categories: the hamstring group and the quadriceps group. In the hamstring group (which is the back of the thigh) are the biceps femoris, semitendinosus, and semimembranosus. In the quadriceps group (front of thigh) are the rectus femoris, vastus lateralis, vastus intermedius, and vastus medialis. Some other muscles that are on the thigh are the sartorius, iliopsoas, adductor longus, adductor magnus, and gracilis.
The anatomical term for the calf muscle is the gastrocnemius muscle.
The largest muscle of your calf is the gastrocnemius.
A young cow is called a calf, while the part of your leg between your knee and ankle is called the calf muscle.
