External Obliques
There are several muscles that are used for walking downhill. These include all of the leg muscles and many abdominal muscles.
Yes, strengthening your abdominal muscles can help improve running speed by providing better stability and power transfer through your core while running.
Not to any extent, the best exercises to target the Abdominal Wall Muscles, involve bending, ie Sit-ups etc.
In this game you require all muscles to be employed as the game demands running, push and pulling, kicking jumping and direction running
Abdominal muscles sometimes referred to as abs, or ab muscles, or six-pack abs, are paired, parallel, stomach muscles running vertically on each side of the human abdomen. They are not always visible. Some people like to purposely develop them so that they are visible or more visible.
The best way to get rid of the pooch in your stomach is through exercise. Any activity that tightens up the abdominal muscles, such as sit-ups, cycling, running, or even walking.
The tendinous seam running from the sternum to the pubic symphysis is called the linea alba. It is a fibrous structure that separates the right and left rectus abdominis muscles in the abdominal wall. The linea alba provides support and stability to the abdominal wall during movement and is an important landmark for surgical procedures.

Triathlon encompasses swimming, biking, and running, and so it involves almost all of your muscles. Your "tri muscles" are those muscles that carry the bulk of the muscle load for swimming, biking, and running. For swimming, it's your lats, chest, and shoulders. For biking and running, it's your quads, hamstrings, glutes, and calves. Another key muscle group area is commonly referred to as your "core muscles," which include the abdominal muscles, the lumbar region (or lower back), and the thoracic and cervical region of the spine. These muscles serve to provide stability, support, and a solid base for the rest of the body to function maximally. Quite a few muscles go to work while running. While there are the obvious muscles (Such as calf, thigh, hip, and hamstrings) other muscles are subtly at work also. The abdominal muscles are slightly worked, along with the arms and back muscles. The arms are constantly swinging, going against air friction/wind during the run. Your back helps keep you in the upright position and is constantly shifting while you take each step. So pretty much your entire body goes to work while running (even your toes which push you off the ground). Hope that helped :)
Running and walking does use the same muscles in the body. Three of the main muscles used in the legs are hamstrings, quadriceps and gluteal muscles.
Most of the muscles of the body are exercised when running. Of course the foot and leg muscles are needed the most but the muscles of the torso and upper body are used as well.
