The most reasonable answer is that your body is craving water. Too many of the sodas and other things we drink have so much sodium that our bodies may be getting the liquid, but the sodium is negating it. So it's just your body craving water. It is possible to drink too much water, but drinking water in the proportions and drinking it throughout the day replenishes the water lost when urinating, sweating, and salivating.You may (or may not) have diabetes. I would recommend drinking DIET sodas if you are a Pre-diabetic because if you don't and you drink Regular Sugary drinks you will be at high risk for diabetes (Only if your Doctor says's you are a Pre_diabetic)
Some foods to avoid when you have diabetes are white breads, syrups, candy, desserts and anything that is high in sugar content. It's best to drink diet sodas or Crystal lite. Use sugar substitutes.
