The answer is more likely the overall increased 'sterilization" of our children-- with the resultant thwarting of childrens' immune systems to naturally handle any attacks inside their bodies. Young children today are more protected by their parents against potential threats. For example, they aren't allowed to play in the dirt outside, are constantly having their hands washed with anti-bacterial soap, are not being exposed to any "potentially harmful" foods (peanuts), etc. in the well-intended attempt to avoid illness and disease. However, a result of all these precautions is that the immune systems of today's children are more permanently disabled to handle a vast variety of system compromises-- such as food Allergies.
Yes, peanuts can cause allergic reactions in some people.
If you are quite sensitive to peanut, as some people are, then it poses a risk.
peanuts!
all peanut products you should be allergic to. but not any of the marshmellow peanuts!
You may have developed a peanut allergy. A large number of people are allergic to peanuts. There are two compounds in peanuts that people can be allergic to. Some people are allergic to one compound. Some are allergic to the other one. And some are allergic to both. Some peanuts are missing one of the compounds. You may have been eating those peanuts all along and not have had a problem. Suddenly, you obtained some with the other compound in them. They made you sick.
Maybe. Before experimenting, become tested by an allergist, and check with your doctor.
