A person with type o blood is a universal donor and can donate blood to persons of any blood type.
anyone
No if i am not mistaken people with O blood have to have their blood type back, however people with O blood can give to anyone in need.
They're not really going to be able to, aside from just donating every two months. Type O people can only RECEIVE Type O blood, but they can DONATE blood accordingly: O positive can give to A positive, B positive, AB positive or O positive; O negative can give to anyone.
O positive is the most common blood type making up about 38% of the population.
No because type O blood is the universal donor type meaning they can give anyone blood but they can only receive blood from type O people.
This happens sometimes in blood transfusions. There are certain types of blood that can be given to another type without going into shock. O blood type can be give to anyone... but if your O, you can only receive O. If a blood type is B and you give them A or AB, they can go into shock and possibly die.
a person with O+/- blood can only receive O+/- blood respectively. O+ can give blood to any other + blood type, and O- can give blood to anyone.
O-
Type O is the universal donor and that is able to be given to anyone with or without that blood type. It can also receive plasma from all the other blood types, but yet only O donors can receive blood from each other.
only O negative blood is called the universal donor. This is because people with this blood type have the ability to donate their blood to ANY other blood type. Blood donation is a complex process and only certain types can receive certain types. O neg is the one blood type that can give to anyone (however, they can only RECEIVE from O neg)
The negative in "O Negative" means that it's Rh negative, meaning that anyone, either positive or negative can receive that Rh type. O negative blood can be given to anyone. It's the Universal Donor.
Platelets do not have blood types, so anyone can receive them from anyone else.
