From my own personal experience and from some data I have seen, I'll take a stab ath this question. People suggest that children with high-fuctioning autism or Asperger's Syndrome are "seductive" because they are un-educated about the background of asperger's or autism. People who have this "condition" are not very adept at reading the small naunces of societal norms. Which include, nonverbal behavior, social norms and boundaries. These boundaries include such things as personal space. So it would be possible that a child sufferering from autism or Asperger's Syndrome to be open to be grabbing a stranger's hand or hugging indiscriminately. On the same token, they will step into a stranger's personal space or maintain unbroken eye contact. The list goes on and on. I do not see how this behavior can be seen as "seductive". But I suppose everyone has their interpretation, unfortunately.
Some of them do.
The Transporters DVD helps Children with Aspergers Syndrome as it tries to help build what they are lacking in certain areas such as facial expression recognition or emotion.
Aspergers syndrome is a type of developmental disorder which delays many basic skills, especially one's ability to socialize and communicate with others as well as to use one's imagination. It is similar to autism but children with Aspergers are usually able to function better than children with autism.
Yes. Quite a few adults who were not diagnosed as children have read about Aspergers or seen something on TV about it, and realised they might have it.
It all just really depends what they are like. Some can write big and sloppy and some can write neat and tidy. An Aspergers person can write neater or sloppier than anyone else. It doesn't change them, just how they behave and socialize. Edit: Poor handwriting is in fact more common in Aspergers. But not always.
People with Aspergers tend to see large improvements as they get older. Children with Aspergers tend to be what others may say, "In their own world" as they may be obsessive with certain things and prefer to be alone. Teens with Aspergers tend to be more social and aware of themselves and this is a rather touchy area as with other teens. Adults with Aspergers may or may not be viewed as being an Aspie as many adults can "mask" the issue by acting as how others behave or doing what needs to be done. Normally adults are seen as normal yet "off" but this alone is normal as they have Aspergers.
Asperger is different from autism because people with Aspergers are less restricted with behavioral interactions than those with autism. Asperger's is a form of autism, but it is high-functioning and Aspergers is not as severe as actual autism is (Take it from me: I have aspergers and my younger brother has autism)
Familys do not have to go through it alone, there is help and support available for people living with children, or anyone with Aspergers. There are youth clubs that offer free services and will take good care of the child for a start.
