because as it enters to the oesophagus it should really be digested or else or organs won't work properly
the above answer is correct, but can be improved. most foods must be digested forst, so that they can get into the cell. cells are very small and most foods are too big to even get through the cell membrane. therefore, the food must break down so they can fit through the cell membrane and proceed into the cell.

it makes the molecules smaller and simpler
The organelle used to store digested food and water is known as the vacuole. The food is released and broken down whenever the cells need it.
Food must be chemically digested because the substances which our body needs cannot be absorbed into the blood until they have been broken down into small, soluble chemicals with the help of enzymes in our mouth. When the food is digested, its molecules are small enough to pass through the wall of the small intestine by diffusion.
Because you can only proscess your food if it is digested.
How does digested food get into our blood?once almost fully digested the food moves through the inestines, while the waste moves on to be excreted, the nutrients and such which are a great use to the blood cells are absorbed through the walls of the intestines. Thus into our bloodstream. And that first you need to chew and it will go to your blood stream

The food that we eat needs to be digested, or broken down, so the particles are small enough to be able to be absorbed into our cells. The process of digestion has four parts. Ingestion, digestion (mechanical and chemical), absorption, and elimination.
Cells need energy/food to survive
Monosaccharides (simple sugars), amino acids (building blocks of proteins), and fatty acids (components of fats) do not require digestion before they can be absorbed by the small intestine. This means they can be directly absorbed into the bloodstream to be used by the body for energy and other functions.
it doesn't need food until it implants and grows----in the tube it is just cells mutiplying
