This is not an answer but more information about my problem. I've been on crutches for about 2 months and 2 weeks. I haven't used my left leg much (the side with the knee pain). I got the go to use my boot so I started walking in my boot about a week ago. The first 3 days I had no pain whatsoever then come the next day I got a sharp pain underneath my left knee. It hurts when it bears weight or when it feels tension but feels relieved when I bend it. Is it because the muscles underneath my knee are weak, is it growing pains?? I'm also 15 years old, athletic, healthy, not overweight, and still growing.
Yes, do you feel sharp pain in your knees when walking downhill?
Sharp, intensely painful, and I can't walk on that leg.
ITBS is excessive friction between the lliotibial band and your knee bone. This causes the sharp pain at either the side of the knee or the side of the hip.
if it bends to far back. when it happens you will feel a sharp pain and then when you put weight on it, it will hurt more
well if you touch softly and it hurts or when you walk on it, it can be sprained or broken
No
If it feels like the bone is stressed then it's probaly Chronodritis

Sharp knee pain can result from a variety of underlying conditions. One common cause is a meniscal tear, which often occurs due to sudden twisting or trauma. Ligament injuries, such as an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear, can also lead to intense, sharp pain, particularly during movement or weight-bearing. Other possible causes include patellar dislocation, cartilage damage, or inflamed bursae (bursitis), which can create discomfort during bending or walking. Sometimes, underlying conditions like gout or infections may also contribute to sudden knee pain, especially if accompanied by swelling, redness, or fever. Identifying the exact cause is essential for appropriate Knee Pain treatment, which may involve rest, physical therapy, medications, or minimally invasive procedures.
