Why people don't wash their hands?

You have to wash you hands because you use your hands to touch EVERYTHING so they collect a lot of bacteria which can cause you to become ill or to catch a virus. Also when you touch something you touch all the germs from anyone else who has touched that object.

I believe this could be a symptom of mental illness. They have trouble being organized enough to make bathing and brushing a daily ritual. It seems that some would benefit from better planning; however, some seem unusually resistant to bathing, etc. I can't understand how they can miss out on one of the great pleasures in life - a warm bath and then clean PJs!

1. Among other reasons that there may be, they simply may not practice, or understand, good hygiene.
2. Conversely, there are people with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), who wash there hands excessively, or ritualistically.
