This is quite common. You may have mutli-cystic ovaries, or other sitiuations (that are not a worry) could be going on, such as; you might have been pregnant and had a miscarriage (very common, most women miscarry 3-4 times before they actually get truly pregnant). You may also just have had spotting. If this continues, see a doctor and ask if going on the Birth Control pill might help as it often settles down bleeding and periods into single events.
I'm a doctor
usually it's just stress, if it happens three months in a row go to doctor
You may be starting menopause. That happened to me when I began it. Contact your doctor and get a hormone test.
well there's quite of few reasons.....but maybe you should ask your mom....and then go to the doctor!!!!
ummmm if your talking about yourself then it could just be irregular if you've only recently started to get your'e period or you may be stressed if it keeps happening talk to a doctor
A woman can get her period twice a month for multiple reasons such as missing her birth control or having an irregular period cycle.
It can be possible that a woman can have a period twice in one month. I would talk to a doctor.
it could be from stress
That would be called, the woman's period
Birth control can cause this to happen don't worry
Your periods are often quite strange after having a baby, however it would be a good idea to mention this to your doctor or midwife at your next check-up
Yes, women can have two periods in one month. When a woman menstruates is determined by her menstrual cycle, not by the date on the calendar, the typical menstrual cycle is 28 days but can be shorter or longer. A woman may very well menstruate on day 1 of the month, and then 28 days later on the 29th of the month menstruate again. Women can also experience vaginal bleeding for many other reasons, often women label all vaginal bleeds menstruation so they may bleed twice per month but only one bleed will be menstruation.
you are supposed to have your period every single month to shed the layer that would have protected your baby in the womb. When it is no longer needed it leaves through the vagina and the same will happen next month. So you should have your period every single month (unless on a medication that changes your cycle). If you don't have your period every month i would suggest seeing a doctor to talk about it.
would you be pregnet if you havent had your period for 3 months now
yes you would
Hi, No you wont come on twice in the same month because you missed BC pills. You will only come on once unless you restart the pills and then stop 7 days later. Then you may come on your period twice in a month but in most cases you will only have one period a month. Its a good idea when trying to conceive to buy a ovulation predictor kit and keep track of your ovulation cycle this way so you know when your most fertile. Good luck.
Then she would be in menopause.
Every woman is different, and the AVERAGE cycle length is 28 days. However, your cycle may be anywhere from 21-45 days, which would explain different days that your period falls on each month. I recommend that you keep a log on your calendar for the first day of your period each month. This will not only help you better approximate when your next period will be, but be extremely useful when trying to get pregnant or when you do get pregnant, since they will ask for your first day of your last menstrual period to calculate your due date.
