Spotting can be a sign a period is about to start. If you skip more than one period and only see spotting, see a doctor to make sure you are not pregnant or have a health issue that needs attention.
Yes you should continue your pack of pills even though you are spotting. You should never discontinue taking your birth control unless advised by your physician. If you stop taking your birth control you will lower the effectiveness of the birth control drastically and you will increase your chances of becoming pregnant. Spotting is a side effect caused by birth control. Spotting typically occurs when you are either starting birth control for the first time( spotting may last up to 3 months), spotting can occur if you do not take your birth control everyday at the same time, and it can occur if you use a certain medication, such as antibiotics.
If there was unprotected intercourse in there somewhere then yes.
Yes. You are fine.
Spotting while skipping periods with birth control is a common complaint. It is not a sign that the method is less effective.
When I decided to have sex again I started bleeding during forplay we didn't even get to having sex.
You Need To Go See A Doctor. That Does Not Sound Good At all.
You begin spotting and/or bleeding from your vagina.
I've been on Cipralex for about a month now and the spotting started soon after I started taking them. Every day there's spotting, not just near ovulation time. Has yours gone away yet?
I had a miscarriage about a month ago. First I started spotting after a pelvic exam which I believe is perfectly normal and does not mean you're going to have a miscarriage. Instead of the spotting getting better after a few days, it got worse, turning from brown to red and getting heavier. After about 4 days of this red, heavier bleeding (not as heavy as a period, but clumpy and heavier than spotting), I started having cramps one night after work (Election Night, to be exact). The cramps came in waves and became more intense as the night went on. The bleeding was full of large clots and I kept feeling like I had to move my bowels and I did so a few times. Several hours later, what felt like a very large blood clot came out (twice within a few minutes) and then the cramps stopped and that was it. I also had a couple of blood tests during the days when I was spotting and bleeding and my hormone levels were not increasing very much.
no. Birth control pills can stop periods altogether, shorten them, or turn them in to "spotting" If you were getting your period before you started the pills. If you stop at any time during your cycle this should bring on your period.
