Yes, but it depends on the person. If you have no symptoms of GS (aside from jaundice) then you should have no problem controlling your blood sugar levels. If your GS has many symptoms (nausea, fatigue, constipation/diarheah, food sensitivities) then you are much more likely to see large fluctuations in your blood sugar levels. GS basically causes your liver to work harder than normal in order to remove toxins from your body, so the worse your GS, the harder your liver has to work to remove toxins, and the more likely it will cause blood sugar fluctuations and other health problems like celiac disease and thyroid issues. If you have GS and Diabetes make sure to eat/drink liver-friendly foods like Milk Thistle, teas, and acidic fruit. This will help to cleanse your liver and should help to alleviate some of your GS symptoms, which in turn will also help you to more easily control your diabetes....AND STAY AWAY FROM PAINKILLERSM ALCOHOL, AND FATTY FOODS, as those will definitely make your GS much worse, plus alcohol is also known as a "silent killer" for diabetics.
