hello, yes you can put it in a cast because at the moment i have fractured my hairline and the doctor put my ankle in plaster all the way up to my knee. It helps support the ankle and you must not put any weight on it once it is in the cast though. Hope this helps.
Driving with a hairline fracture of the patella is not advisable, as it may impair your ability to operate the vehicle safely. The injury can cause pain, swelling, and reduced mobility, particularly in the knee, which is crucial for driving. It's best to consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice and to ensure you're fit to drive. Prioritizing recovery will help prevent further injury and complications.

how far can you walk on a sprained ankle?

The fact of the fracture does not, in itself, void your insurance. However, it may make it harder physically to drive, especially if you have a car with a manual transmission on which you have to depress a clutch. You may thereby be more "clumsy" in the operation of the car, which could result in a collision. If you do have a collision, the other party may claim that you were negligent. Stated otherwise, he/she may claim that you knew or should have known of the deficit in your driving ability because of your ankle injury and should not have been driving. All other things being equal, your liability insurer should defend you in a resulting claim and pay those damages for which you are legally liable according to the terms of the insurance policy.
This depends on the type of fracture, the severity, age of the patients and several other factors. In general, children's fracture are stable by 3 to 6 weeks but complete healing only occurs after many months.
Usually, you can walk on a sprained ankle, but it is EXTREMELY painful. This is NOT advised. The best way to take care of a sprained ankle is to ice twice a day, 20 minutes each time, wrap it in an ace bandage or a firm, cast, and avoid moving it or walking. It is good to stretch a bit by gently moving your foot back and forth if you are able. Slow biking on a stationary bike is good conditioning, but do not run or walk too much.
no my big sister Miranda Cosgrove doesn't drive yet she's going to drive when she is 21 and then she is going to start dating handsome boys.
The ability to drive after an L2 fracture varies depending on the severity of the injury and the individual's recovery progress. Generally, it may take anywhere from several weeks to a few months before someone can safely resume driving. Factors such as pain levels, mobility, and the ability to perform necessary driving tasks should be assessed by a healthcare professional. Always consult with your doctor for personalized advice before returning to driving.
