Yes , your description is that of Sciatica, also called a hernia~ see related link below . In many cases it goes away with time but if it doesn't, a hernia operation is usually performed.
Surgery can run from $350 to $650 depending on your vet. Our 9yr old Chihuahua Pomeranian mix just had a double inguinal hernia surgery that cost $2200. She had the hernia when she came to us as a stray dog and we were told that it didn't have to be operated on. A few weeks ago it became a problem and protruded out beyond comfortability for her and we knew it was time.
There are many common symptoms for a hernia. The most common include pain in the hernia when sitting down, straining and whilst coughing hard. Hernia's can also be reduced, or "popped back" where they protrude from.
Since the opeing they use to do tha lap band i only take about 4 week to fully recover from surgery.
there is many units of pain
A hernia can be a serious medical condition. Having a hernia is sufficient to cause a failure of many types of physical exams, such as the exam for military enlistment.
no
There are not too many complications as to hernia surgery it is a minor surgery that will not leave too much scarring.
Yes. you would be encouraged to stop and I believe you have to stop for so many weeks before the operation anyway.
Symptoms of a hernia can be many things. Many of these things can be related to pain in the colon or rectum. You may be able to consist of numerous things that actually void where necessary.
A hernia is a condition in which the stomach bulges up into the esophagus. Basically, a hernia is where part of the body pushes into an area where it does not belong and therefore does not function properly. This can cause many problems, including acid reflux.
Unlike a sports hernia, a hiatal hernia affects the core, often in the diaphragm or the abdomen directly. In many cases, there are actually no symptoms for this type of hernia. That said, others may have heartburn related to gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD. Surgery is often needed because the hernia can become restricted and blood supply to that affected area can be restricted or cut off entirely.
