If you have been sectioned in Massachusetts (sec.12 or 35) the local police are notified. They will pick you up if and when you are spotted and you will be returned to the Hospital or in some cases a House of Correction to continue the Mandated involuntary evaluation, hospitalization, or Rehabilitation. Itisn't usually necessary for another section to be issued by the Health Care Professional or Police Dept. I imagine that the individual state laws are similar.
