You will find different ranking depending on criteria used and other factors (and frankly some biases). Every list I could find agrees that Harvard is #1 at of 2012.

The US News and World report ranked Johns Hopkins at #1 for 21 years straight until 2012 when they placed Harvard in the position. They only rank US schools.

One website that claims to rank all schools in the world gives this list:

The Guardian and Huffington post have very similar lists with Canadian, Japanese, Australian and Singapore appearing in the second ten. The Guardian places Penn at #2 and Johns Hopkins at #3.

there are many hospitals in the world. For patients it is the hospital which serves him best. My eyes are saved by Doctor Ratish Chandra Paul of Susrut Eye Foundation, Saltlake , Kolkata in West Bengal, India. It is best hospital for me.
