Do not let the looks of this place fool you. The stylists at Kaleidoscope are very talented. I have been going here for years, and I do not think that I will be looking for a new salon in Louisville any time soon. While the place looks a little bit seedy, the atmosphere actually kind of grows on you. I genuinely get excited when it is time for me to go back to the salon and get my hair cut and colored. The stylists are likeable, friendly and professional, which makes the whole trip a great deal more enjoyable.When it comes to cutting my hair, they always get it just right. I have naturally very straight hair, and have had no problems with them. One of my friends who has curly hair has complained about her cuts at times, but she tends to complain a lot. As for me, my haircuts have always been great, and I do not think I have ever left dissatisfied. When it comes to coloring hair, this is where they are truly spectacular and way above the rest of the salons in the area. My colors always look vibrant and last much longer than when I color my hair at other places. Whether getting a complicated highlight treatment or a simple dye job, they have always been spectacular. Even if you want to cut your hair somewhere else, I strongly recommend you color your hair here. They are very creative, and add an artistic touch to each coloring job.Most importantly, I live on a tight budget and am not rolling in cash, and they are very affordable. I love the fact that I look like I just came out of a premier upscale salon when I leave this place, and love even more the fact that I did not break the bank to look this way. My friends are always complimenting me on my hair, and I spend much less than my friends who go to far more expensive salons. I highly recommend this salon and guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
