See your doctor or psychiatrist - you should taper down if at all possible. Don't go cold turkey! I have also seen doctors who will give a very very small doss of Prozac to help ween a person off Lexapro more comfortably.

My mother has Parkinson's and has had Deep Brain Stimulation. She does not take any more Parkinson's medication but does take Lexapro. I think, but am not 100% sure, that she can take typical Parkinson's meds (Sinemet) as well as Lexapro.

Wellbutrin and Lexapro work on different brain chemistries. Wellbutrin works on the dopamine while Lexapro works on Seratonin. Ten mg of Lexapro is a small dose. Wellbutrin can be taken twice a day to prolong its efficacy in conjunction with the Lexapro taken once. This is a standad therapy.

No you can't... both lexapro and ecstasy are dealing with the same material in your brain - seratonin. ecstasy brings it levels very high, while lexapro keeps it in a controlled level, so the ecstasy just won't work. not taking lexapro that day is meaningless, as the drug is not effective the same day, it keeps a certain level in your blood (which is why it takes 2 weeks after starting taking lexapro to really feel the effects)

Very few. Lexapro's half-life is 27-32 hours. Meaning the last dose taken is not eliminated to that level for over a complete day. In other words if they were screening for lexapro at the hospital in your UA, they would detect it 2 days later. On the flip side,.. the levels have dropped tremendously -- So you would probably start to feel the beginnings of discontinuation syndrome..aka "Withdrawal". Which is anything from Anxiety, agitation to 'brain zaps'. But the ultimate advice and answer here is A) - Don't discontinue your medications if you feel 'fine'.. just because you think you don't need them anymore. (No insinuation, just for any reading this).. and B) If you have missed a day or two of Lexapro, simply take your next scheduled dose. You will be back to "normal" in no time.
