Can you sniff methadone

Yes you can sniff them but I would not suggest it. As I was thinking about sniffing my own pills I looked for the answer here and found no answer so being the person I am I decided to sniff them and write an answer. IT DIDN'T GO SO WELL!!! As I sit here and type my eyes are running and my throat burns terribly. I regretted it immediately! It does however make them work faster but I am sure the longevity of them is going to be greatly diminished. In my opinion (first hand knowledge) it is a bad idea. At least I know I will never do it again!!! The best way to use them is to crush them up into a fine powder and put them into a small piece of tissue and swallow them. This will make them work just as quick as sniffing them and last alot longer.

PLEASE never use tissue to swallow anything! This can be very dangerous. Furthermore, do not sniff anything other than nasal medications made for that purpose. If you cannot swallow your medications prescribed for you there is an inexpensive crusher you can buy almost anywhere for $3 or $4. Please be very cautious with information on the internet as ANYONE can post ANYTHING. Praying for your safety.

I thought I would just add my experience with this so everyone knew what happens and not to do it. I heard that you could sniff these and it was a much faster method of getting benefits, so I tried it. I only got through half a pill and knew something was up. After 30 min of hell I was finally able to breathe again. It burned so bad 10 seconds after doing it I tried to snort some water to "wash it down" but nothing helped. DO NOT SNIFF METHADONE. The other thing, tissue. It is not harmful to swallow and if you are wanting the fastest way of getting the benefits of this med, that would be the way of doing it. Good luck!

Yes, you can do almost anything with fentanyl patches. But your going to deliver huge amounts of medication into your system and probably die if your not tolerant of fentantyl. Not to mention why would you want to? I mean my god, I have been reading posts and see the people with serious chronic pain using it the way your supposed to. Then I see a lot of people who just want a high, this is the reason why many of us whom actually suffer from chronic pain, whom have actually been to a doctor, diagnosed with a chronic pain issue can't get the medication that works best for us. Put it on the way it tells you to and leave it be. Don't try to sniff it, eat it, inject it... don't be a fool. You will whined up with a bigger problem, opioid addiction!
