Yes. The usual recommended dose is 1 or 2 tablets taken every 4 hours as required.

The maximum dose of acetaminophen for adults is 1000mg at a time, and 4000mg per day. Tylenol 3 contains 300mg of acetaminophen. So, if necessary, you can even take three Tylenol 3 doses at a time every 5 - 6 hours. But you have to be very careful with codeine (30mg in each Tylenol 3 dose). They do not usually recommend to exceed 240mg of codeine during the day.

If your pain medication is not meeting your relief needs, it is best to contact your doctor. He may be able to give you something different, rather than doubling up on the one you have. Large amounts of acetaminophen can be very hard on your liver.

I am a fairly small guy and I have taken five Tylenol 3's and I was fine. Tylenol 3's usually have 300mg of acetaminophen and you aren't supposed to take over 1000mg at a time. So to your question, 2 would be fine to take.

yes that is a safe dose. not the usual recommended dose but you will be fine, if you have never taken codeine before you might feel "high" as if you are on percocet or another opiate pain killer. for those who take pain killers regularly. you might not feel anything from three Tylenol 3's. just be careful how much you take because of the acetaminophen in it, there is 300mg of acetaminophen in T3's and liver damage and failure happen if you take too much.

everyone is different but 4grams/4000miligrams of acetaminophen is when overdose happens in an adult.
