the taxation without representation
One of the most significant reasons why the colonists were against the British taxes was because they had no say over them, as they were not represented in the British government. The United States Declaration of Independence was ratified on July 4, 1776.
China was a very traditional society and other the reign of the Kangxi Emperor and his grandson China had the military means to reject a British offer for trade without the threat of having colonized. The Kangxi Emperor considered European goods to be far inferior to those made by the Chinese. If you are referring to the later opium trade, then China refused to allow the trade because it began to see the effects of the drug on the people of China. However, after the Opium wars china was forced by the British to reopen its opium trade.
Without a doubt, it was the Chinese.
Without doubt all Chinese dynasty's have belonged to the Chinese dynastys.
Opium has been available for 5,000 years. Chinese indigenous opium was inferior to the opium grown by the British on Indian plantations, so opium users favored the imported product. The British essentially forced imported opium on the Chinese, and large numbers of people became addicted. The British used profits to fund its domination of India. The Chinese government tried to control drug abuse in the 19th century, but found it was impossible without British support. The British were very much against the Chinese growing their own opium. There is no reason to believe that poppies are not native to parts of China. See "Opium," by Martin Booth.
Just smile. It doesn't matter if you look Chinese.
The American colonists were British citizens, but they were denied the right to have representatives in the British government - a guaranteed right of those citizens still residing in England. It was known as "Taxation without Representation" and was one of several reasons that the colonists decided to rebel against "Mother England" and King George.
The American colonists revolted against the British in 1775 primarily due to taxation without representation, as they were subjected to various taxes imposed by the British Parliament without having any elected representatives to voice their concerns. Additionally, the growing desire for self-governance and the perception that their rights as Englishmen were being violated fueled resentment towards British authority, leading to calls for independence.
Well there is a lot of revolutions that colonists took part in. I can answer anything about the American Revolution. The reasons were 1. They were loyal to King George. 2. Economic reasons 3. They did not truly believe in the government that the was formed by the Americans was either legitimate, and would work/last in the long run. 4. Protection that the British government offered. 5. Believed that the 13 Colonies could work out any problems with Great Britain without using violence, and separating from the British Empire. 6. They wanted to stay British or remain members of the British Empire.
In the Declaration of Independence, the colonists listed several reasons for separation from England. One reason is that the British king and parliament had enacted taxes on the colonists without their consent as the colonists had no representatives in the British Parliament. Another reason is that the British government had sent British soldiers to the colonies, where they were expected to be fed and housed by the colonists. A third reason is that the colonists were given 'mock' trials oftentimes without a jury. A fourth reason is that the coloniesÕ representative houses were often dissolved by the British king. A fifth reason is that the coloniesÕ grievances have been repeatedly ignored by the British king.
Tea drank without milk or cream.Did you know:The Chinese call black tea "red" because the tea liquid is red, while the British call it "black" after the tea leaves themselves.
