No, as long as the dose they are prescribed is correct. However if the dose is to high for to long a person can become over medicated. Symptoms include lethargy, sleepiness, slurring speech, difficulty waking up in the morning, as well as others. Many methadone clinics are privately run which can create ethical issues for providers who may or may not be vigilant in keeping track of patients dose and effects. many people prescribed maintenance doses may not even be aware they are being over medicated, this can cause problems with other medications and activities such as drinking, which is to be avoided. The biggest thing to look out for is the taking of Benzodiazepines which can cause many problems, including death. Usually clinics may refuse service if someone is already taking Benzodiazepines. Hope this helps answer your question a little :)
Not really. Needles used to inject drugs are hollow. Sewing needles are not.
yes, but methadone fills the neural receptors for opiates in the brain mush stronger than smack. If you are on 20mgs. or more of methadone, you are wasteing your time.
YOU cannot use tramadol in combination with methadone. It is an opiate antagonist which if you are taking methadone can send you into instant severe withdrawl. I do not have the answer for methadone and fentanyl combination but do not use the tramadol methadone combination. If you do or have you are in for a very very scary experience. There are many pain meds you cannot mix with methadone. Take it from a life long methadone patient who has experienced what it is like to mix an opiate antagonist with methadone........Do not try it............................
A doctor doesn't prescribe Methadone for Marijuana use. Normally if you are taking Methadone you will have some kind of drug support worker, and will be asked do a random drug test.

Yes, amoxicillin is understood to be safe to use with methadone (dolophine), but ALWAYS consult your physician and your pharmacist before taking any kind of prescription medication(s).===An important side note for methadone managed patients in regard to the concomitant use of a different antibiotic medication, ciprofloxacin (Cipro) and methadone:The concomitant use of methadone and ciprofloxacin is highly discouraged due to the increased risk of adverse effects of methadone (equating to methadone overdose).Reason:Inhibition of the enzymes that metabolize methadone (dolophine), i.e., CYP3A4 and/or CYP1A2 -- Ref: Eap et al. 2002; Herrlin et al. 2000.
Methadone is prescribed to people who are addicted to opiates and is also used for pain management in some cases.
I tried after 24 hrs and went through the worst withdrawal of my life. It is important that you should wait 36hrs after taking methadone to use suboxone. However I did not have the same affect the other way around i.e. taking methadone after being on suboxone
