After some research this question being asked by me as well, I have found some pretty detailed answers and researched and founded answers to this question.
Good luck ***I am in a drug treatment program and can testify first hand that marijuana is not detectable in your saliva for very long, 6-8 hours after smoking AT MOST. 6 months of regular smoking and I never came up positive on one oral drug test. I actually tested myself at home, and even was I was high, the saliva test came back negative for MJ. While I'm sure the home test is less sensitive than a test from a professional lab, bottom line is it's very difficult to detect marijuana in your saliva. As long as you're not high at the time of the test, you should be ok. Two caveats: One, I think that's different if you ate MJ instead of smoking it. I dont think the detection time is that much longer if you ingest it but it's something to be aware of. Two, PLEASE BE SURE you are getting a saliva test!! marijuana is detectable in your urine FOR A V. LONG TIME, especially with today's MJ having such high THC concentrations, a regular smoker should expect MJ to be in their urine for up to 45 days...Good Luck***

It is important to note that these methods are not guaranteed to work and may not be ethical in situations where drug testing is required.
