Hydrocodone APAP does not contain any aspirin, it contains acetaminophen, better known as Tylenol. There is usually a dosage of 500mg of acetaminophen in a 5mg Hydrocodone pill. Therefore, it is completely worthless to try and use it in any way other than orally. Usually, the more Hydrocodone in a pill (7.5mg, 10mg), the more acetaminophen is present. This is due to the abuse potential of hydrocodone as an opiate analgesic. The presence of Tylenol severely limits how many pills someone can ingest to acheive a "high". The daily MAXIMUM amount of Tylenol that the body can handle is 4000 mg, which is still a huge amount. If taken too often or in doses exceeding 4000 mg, acetaminophen can (and usually will) cause severe liver toxicity. There are no current Hydrocodone pills in the USA that are purely Hydrocodone. Vicodin is the brand name for hydrocodone mixed with Tylenol, Vicoprofen is the brand name for hydrocodone mixed with ibuprofen. There are many generic versions of each of the latter drugs. Hydrocodone APAP is generic Vicodin.

Vicodin comes in three strengths,

Vicodin - 5mg Hydrocodone/500mg Acetaminophen

Vicodin ES - 7.5mg Hydrocodone/750mg Acetaminophen

Vicodin HP - 10mg Hydrocodone/ 625mg Acetaminophen.
