The"expiration date" on most shelf-stable pill-type medications (not including liquids that need refrigeration, such as insulin) is calculated VERY conservatively to ensure maximum potency. After that date, the medication _may_ start to slowly degrade over time.

Tylenol (acetaminophen), Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid), and Motrin (ibuprofen) are almost certainly safe and effective for a year after the expiration date.
