Yes it is safe. My younger brother has ADHD and Asperger's Sydrome and he takes Concerta and Risperdal every morning. I would still recommend asking your doctor if it is safe for HER to use, as medications have different effects on different people. I know this sounds like a Scientologist. But my neighbor's mom told his psychitrist to prescribe him something because she thought he had a problem. He just wrote a ticket for Resperidal without and hesitation. I am glad he didn't take it, it is schizophrenic medication. I am sure what ever your daughter has is much, much better than any single side effect from Risperdal. Please don't let her take it, you will lose your daughter.
Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurological condition, autistic people are born autistic - we do not know why people are autistic.
Risperidone (brand name Risperdal) may be prescribed for a child to treat conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, irritability associated with autism, and other behavioral disorders. It is an atypical antipsychotic medication that helps to stabilize mood, reduce hallucinations and delusions, and improve overall behavior. The decision to prescribe Risperdal for a child is typically made after a thorough evaluation by a healthcare provider, weighing the potential benefits against the risks and considering other treatment options.
