yes. 200+200=400, etc. the percentage of active ingredients is the same no matter the mass of the dosage.
20000mg in 24 hrs is a severe overdose! Immediately take activated charcoal and seek medical assistance. The maximum dose for self medication should be below 2000mg over 24 hrs, with no single dose of more than 400mg. The direct analgetic (pain killing) effect does not increase with doses above 400mg, however, doses up to 800mg show an additional anti-inflammatory effect.
The absolute best OTC treatment for it is ibuprofen, usually in doses around 400mg three times a day. It will serve first to reduce the general pain from it, but will also reduce any related inflammation in that or other areas.
Yes, paracetamol with lower doses of ibuprofen can be taken together. So long as your doctor has specifically said so.
supposedly it can cause bleeding in the liver, gums, etc. talk to your doctor. in small doses it is sometimes permitted.
lortab is a hydrocodone / Tylenol blend. you can take ibuprofen as directed on the package without regard to the consumption of lortab. however, it may be advisable for the purposes of increased pain relief to stagger the doses by 2 hours or so.
Both ibuprofen and percocet contain large amounts of acetaminophen. Consuming high doses of acetaminophen can cause permanent liver damage. Taking one ibuprofen and one percocet certainly isn't going to kill you, but be sure to keep your dosage low.
Yes. Over-the-counter Advil (or the generic equivalent, ibuprofen) is generally in 200mg doses. There may be minor non-theraputic differences between Advil and the generic equivalent such as binder or inert ingredients. In rare instances, people can be sensitive to the binder ingredients.
I do it every 4 hours, but im not sure, every person for them selfs
Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that can affect kidney function, particularly in individuals with pre-existing kidney conditions or those taking high doses over extended periods. While it is not a common side effect, NSAIDs like ibuprofen can lead to nephrotoxicity and potentially cause proteinuria, which is the presence of excess protein in urine. If there are concerns about kidney health or protein levels in urine while taking ibuprofen, it is important to consult a healthcare professional.
no they can't tell what the mg 's or how big the doses. you've been taking
the price From my own experience there must be a difference in the coating. I can easily stomach 4 over the counter ibuprofin 3times daily (and have for 20 yrs.) which = the same as 1 800mg. prescription tablet 3times daily. I can not stomach the prescription at all. Taking 2 400mg. prescription ibuprofin also went down fine. but the prescription can cost much more than the walmart version-$8 or less for 500 tablets.
You can access ibuprofen dosing charts for children online. Age is not the first determination for dosing. Most charts begin at 6 months of age, then proceed by weight. Checking different web sites, I did however find conflicting dose charts. When dealing with a child I tend to side with caution. The following is a chart I found to be most accurate; http://www.texaschildrens.org/Parents/TipsArticles/ArticleDisplay.aspx?aid=921Once a child reaches the weight necessary to be given 200mg of ibuprofen, its a personal choice as to what form to give. A 200mg tablet/capsule/capsule/ etc may be given if tolerated. Please remember, "more is not necessarily better!" Recommended doses are there for a reason. Taking more than recommended can quickly become toxic and do irreparable damage to your body.
