Smoking can do no damage to a human body whatsoever. No one has ever died from smoking marijuana. Marijuana doesn't have the same chemicals as cigarettes, *because pot is an illegal drug which makes it so companies can't put any harmful chemicals in it that makes it addictive,* it is 100% natural pure healthiness. If marijuana becomes legal, grown your own!

*Companies don't lace things with chemicals - the people who work at them do.

Answer

Completely wrong people have died from smoking weed never OD, but people smoke and drive and get in car crashes, it does do damage to the brain, after a while it causes memory loss it is psychologically addictive, it causes your "happiness" receptors (if you will) in your brain to decrease over time, and eventually all you know is that what makes you happy is smoking weed, therefore you do it more and more and eventually your smoking weed all the time, and it makes you stupid.

Don't get me wrong I love the bud, but I'm not stupid about it like some people.

Not to mention that you might not have companies adding harmful chemicals, but that doesn't mean other people don't!Growers/dealers can cut weed with other things, lace it with other drugs, and some stupid people even spray it with pesticides. Be careful where you get your weed from.

Nobody has mentioned the fact that you are inhaling SMOKE into your lungs. Not only are you doing that but typically people hold the inhaled smoke for extended periods of time before exhaling, increasing the damage to the lungs and cutting off oxygen to the rest of your body for that much longer. If you smoke one joint doctors suggest that it does about the damage of 3-5 cigarettes if you are holding in the smoke.

AnswerMarijuana has it's place in medical treatment. It reduces nausea and increases appetite for cancer patients in treatment or AIDS patients who have no desire to eat. It reduces the pressure in the eyes of people suffering from glaucoma and can also be effective in relieving some sources of pain that other drugs don't.

Some people who smoke pot will move onto harder drugs, when they no longer get the desired high - they also become very inactive and can become over weight from over eating due to food cravings called the munchies. Someone prone to depression can become more depressed - from the further drop in serotonin as the effects of the THC wears off.

Since pot is still illegal in most states - it's use can also result in steep fines or even prison.

AnswerMuch to the contrary, marijuana does not cause any brain damage, nor does it create memory loss. The only memory loss experienced is during the actual high, once you come down you'll be the same as before.

The theory of pot being the gateway drug is ridiculous. Hard drugs are chemically addictive, marijuana is not. Over time, the THC receptors may be blocked, but that's nothing a short tolerance break wouldn't fix. Most people who smoke pot don't do so for the "let's get really messed up" point of view, they enjoy it as one would enjoy a glass of wine before bed.

And marijuana is only illegal due to the Propaganda from the early paper industry. When hemp became popular, and its uses widespread (hemp ropes are stronger, the paper is cheaper), the paper industry was facing a serious downturn, and Reefer Madness was born. Race was also a big part, with Mexicans immigrating the US, and soon marijuana "abuse" was blamed on the Mexicans bringing it through the border.

I've been smokin the bud for over 30yrs. I was still smokin bud when I enrolled in College(45yrs old), smoked it everyday and found it helped me concentrate. I graduated College with honors(3.35GPA) while smokin the bud. You can't die from it or OD.
