i think the theory
explains the human behavior of inclining towards risky ventures although there exist negative reports of the desired behavior.for example though the many dangers involved when using Birth Control pills, the risk taking behavior drives more women into taking it. similarly in the entrepreneurial concept, businessmen tend to venture where others have not in the bid to try out,all this sums up to risk taking.
