As of July 2010, no one knows the recipe. I think it might have the Black Glasses in it.

No. Cats with the tabby coat pattern can be male or female.
TABBYS!!!!!!!yeah i agree I also like tortoise shells there calicoes with more brown and black! I also love Main coons they are huge! They can grow up to 4 feet long!!! by different person: YEAH TABBYS RULE THE HOUSE YO! lol i have a tabby and he is my baby. i <3 him so much!
Not all tabby cats are shy. A cat's coat pattern ("tabby" is a term for a certain coat pattern) doesn't depict its personality.
you know by looking at the fur and markings for example maine coons have tufts of fur at the tips of their ears and tabbys have a m shaped mark on their forheads.
Yes. Their colors range from a dark charcoal to a very light, well, silver-ish color. They look exactly like regular tabbys, except their coloring. Their characteristics, behaviour, and diet are identical.
No, there are females as well. Yes, there are female orange/red/ginger tabbys, but the chance of one being born is about 20% Verifying the above statement, around 1/4 of orange cats are female. :) To get an orange female, both parents must have some orange in them. To get an orange male, the mother must be orange or tortoiseshell/calico, and the father can be any other colour. Actually 80% of orange tabbys are male with the rest being sterile it is a mutation in the xy chromosone
There are many different theories for why some tabby cats have the "M" marking on their heads, and most of them have to do with religion. I could give you a couple. -In Christianity, the "M" is said to be where Mary, mother of Jesus Christ, blessed a tabby cat when he(cat) comforted her baby(Jesus). -In Islam, the theory is that the "M" stands for "Mohammad". Forgive me if I spelled it wrong. So yeah that's pretty much all I got. If you want to know the biological reason, it's probably the same reason some people's hair is brown. ~Kitty
No they should remain the same. ----------------------- It depends what light they're in, as ALL cats are tabbys, but you just can't see their stripes most of the time. The easiest places to see the stripes are the paws and the tail. --- No, not all cats are tabbies. Cats that are not tabbies are called selfs and you cannot see tabby markings anywhere. Your Siamese is a tabby or lynx-point Siamese. Not all shows accept this, but most do. If the markings are only on the tail and not on the face or legs, it may be considered a fault in breed standards.

A male cat is called a Tom. I do not believe there to be a difference between breeds of cat.
While the term "tabby cat" are often used describe a certain type of cat, they are not a breed, thus do not have any set personality traits. The word "Tabby" refers to a cat who has a certain pattern on its coat. The Tabby pattern has dark markings (stripes, swirls, spots) on a paler background. The stripe colour is solid (goes right to the hair root), but the background colour is banded with colour on each individual hair. Many different breeds of cat can have the tabby pattern, with the most common being the Domestic Shorthair or Domestic Longhair (often called mixed breeds or moggies). Because of this, any cat with the tabby patterning can have a completely different personality to the next tabby cat. Answer "Maine coon" cats, which also have the stripey pattern, are wonderful pets. They are large, longhaired cats that are very personable and smart. Mine waits for me at the door when I come home, loves to play and also is a great lap cat.
