Capstar (Nitenpyram) tablets kill adult fleas and are used in the treatment of flea infestations. Capstar is an oral tablet for dogs, puppies, cats and kittens 4 weeks of age and older and 2 pounds of body weight or greater.
A single dose begins working within 30 minutes and has greater than 90% effectiveness against adult fleas on dogs within 4 hours and cats within 6 hours. They will be flea free for at least 24 hours. In addition to Capstar tablets, you can treat your pet with long-acting topical flea control products.
