K9 Advantix is not a very good choice for cats. The word K9 on the box tells you it is for dogs. The Advantix for cats would be the best, just get the right one for your cat's weight.

I don't know ask somone smart!
K9 Advantix offers advantages such as broad-spectrum protection against fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes, with a fast-acting formula that generally provides quick relief. It also repels pests, reducing the chances of bites. However, it can be toxic to cats if they come into contact with treated dogs, which is a significant disadvantage for multi-pet households. Zodiac Spot On is typically more affordable and may be easier to find, but it may not provide as comprehensive protection or rapid action as K9 Advantix.
Go to your vet and ask about Comfortis...it's a small pill and it kills the fleas within a couple of days.
I haven't heard of any dogs having an allergic reaction to it but when we used it on the dog, my son played with her for a while before he went to bed. The next morning he told us his face felt like it was burning and It hurt to blink. I took him to the doctor and he told us that the cold weather environment we live in (Northern Maine) triggers a chemical reaction with something in the stuff. The name of it slipped my mind but if you live were its cold then I wouldn't use the stuff and let your pooch outdoors. Good luck all I hope this was helpful.
advantix is much better
No, Advantix does not contain permethrin. Instead, it primarily contains imidacloprid and pyriproxyfen as its active ingredients, which target fleas and ticks. Permethrin is found in some other flea and tick products but is not part of the Advantix formulation.
