Mississippi River, Green, Missouri, Seneca, Hudson, Red, Arkansas, Cache La Poudre, Canadian, Chattahoochee, Chicahominy, Potomac, Delaware, Sassafras, Wabash, Yakima, Rio Grande, Gila, Little Bighorn, Ohio, Niagra, Platte, Colorado, etc. So many notable river names exist, some with historical significance like the Deleware, the Potimac, the Missoruri, the Niagra, the Ohio and the Mississippi, that names like the Platte, Colorado, Rio Grande, Pecos and Cache le Poudre may loose there place in history. The rivers of the Northwest are rarely mentioned, and the Red, Susquehannah and others exist only in local lore. i have been working on rivers and there are many more
