A litlle less than the 8.000 living there.
Some may have thought that g-d was going to save them, others thought that g-d had forsaken them. Others thought that the Holocaust was a punishment from g-d and others considered that throughout History Jews had suffered in one way or another and now it was their turn.
They were trying to save their lives. The Holocaust was a genocide of the Jewish people. That means they were all being killed off. Some people began realizing that when their neighbours were taken by the secret police. They left to save their families lives.
Non-Jews saved the lives of Jews in the Holocaust because they felt it was the morally right thing to do, even with the dangers surrounding the hiding and helping of Jews.

England
Most of the countries in Europe. You could also add Japan and some South American coutries as they managed to save some Jews.
There was no 'plan to save the Jews'. That is one of those widespread misunderstandings about the Holocaust and World War 2. Please see related question.

Yes there is still many of Jews that was on the list alive
We weren't aware that it was a club.Oskar Schindler lived during the time of the Holocaust, and for his actions was named to the "Righteous among the World's Nations" (an honor given to non-Jews who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust).I don't think that makes him a "member of the Holocaust," though.

look up the 'Righteous among Nations' in Yad Vashem, this is a list of those who they know of.
Well, Oskar knew the Nazis cruelity toward Jews, and was upset he couldn't save more. I mean, nearly 6 MILLION Jews died during the Holocaust, and he saved a little over 1,100. Wouldn't he want to save more? However, the ones he did save are truly miracles.
