No, you cannot. So long as you remain activated - even while you're on leave - you remain a soldier of the federal government, and not of the state in which your unit is located. That's why you're required to get a new ID card when you're activated, because you cease being a National Guard soldier from the point that you're activated to the point where you're released from active duty and returned to the National Guard. You cannot concurrently be in two components at once, hence, you can't be paid by two components at once. If money is an issue, your best option would be to find some temp work in the civil sector during your leave time.
Generally, no. If they receive gifts in the mail, the Drill Sergeants have the discretion whether to allow the soldier to have them then, or to hold onto them until the end of BCT, then give them to the soldier.
The best thing for women with natural hair is to get is braided. Micro braids or two strands. It must be long enough to neatly fit in a bun. The bun will be the only authorized hair style. Have it done professionally or your Drill Sgt may make you take it out. You cannot have locks. If you do they may make you cut it off. They did that for a Soldier in my company. Your hair has to fit under your patrol cap PC. Also choose a natural color such as black or brown. Don't put different colors in your hair. That is considered faddish and they will make you take it out. I remember my first day there and this girl was taking out her freshly done micros because they were faddish. They were vastly improved with the arrival of Washington's Drill Master, Baron Friedrich von Steuben who wrote the Blue book as the Regulations for the Order and Discipline of the Troops of the United States was properly known.
False
Today many manufactures are combining machines, a mill/drill is one of these. Its a combination of a drill and a mill, a mill removes stock from material (usually metal, but not limited just to metal, it depends on your application), you use fluted cutters such-as end mills. the drill aspect of the machine is just that it drills holes, With the proper speed for the right size drill. Not just "today". The milling-machine was invented in the 19C! A milling machine will drill as well as it can mill, with the advantage of co-ordinate location; but "mill-drill" is a rather contrived name for a class of light machine-tool made primarily for hobby workshops. It occupies a sort of mid-way position between milling-machine and drilling-machine - the latter cannot and must not be used as a mill. Typically the mill-drill has a cylindrical column as on a bench-drill, to support a head moveable vertically above a fixed-level (2-axis only) table: an arrangement which is not only cheaper to make and sell but not ever so rigid and plays havoc with your centring when you have to raise or lower the head to accommodate different drill lengths for the same work!
No, they cannot. You have a duty and contract with the US government, what do you think has priority Thank you for your services Soldier!
A drill sergeant teaches soldier recruits how to march and behave in military training.
Drill master. Fugleman
He would drill with his NG unit only if he was not assigned to another unit. If he has orders assigning him to another unit or orders that preclude training with his original unit, he would not train with the original NG unit. Short story, the soldier trains with the unit to which he is assigned.
The soldier's behavior was "rigid" as the same drill took place every day. This term suggests a strict adherence to the routine and lack of deviation from the established procedure. The soldier likely displayed discipline, precision, and consistency in their actions during the repetitive drill exercises.
Drill can help turn recruits into soldiers by training them and testing them from being a soldier and by observing them what they can do
He can be courtmartialed for being AWOL (Absent Without Leave). And unlike active duty, you wont go to jail, you will bedishonorablydischarged and it will be a hefty stain on your record.
Some of the exercises that a drill sergeant might make his soldiers do are to march, run, finish an obstacle course, and weapon exercises. The soldier is trained to disassemble and clean and then reassemble their weapons. There will also be drills where the soldier trains in various combat maneuvers.
Use 7/64 as tap drill and 9/64 as clearance drill
When you're on leave from active duty, you're on leave - you're not a member of the reserve or National Guard, and you don't drill with them.
The poem by Kipling, Soldier and Sailor Too."But to stand an' be still to the Birken'ead drillis a damn tough bullet to chew"
He is called a "fugleman".
