Well, I have to go on hope for this answer. Many people around the world have these two countries in their thoughts and prayers that everlasting peace will happen. We know it is highly doable. The world holds millions of people. It will affect us all.

It's when North Korea and south Korea did the governor of the country. They tried really hard until it opened up. She eventually ended up giving into peace and fought for her life.
The North Korean government argues that South Korea is not actually an independent country, but is a puppet state and a colony of the United States of America. The war against South Korea is, in their view, a war of liberation to bring southern Korea out of imperialist control and back to domestic Korean control. South Korea refuses to submit to the North Korean government. These two opposing wills lead to war.Contrary to the view in the Community Answer, there is no peace treaty or recognition between North and South Korea, simply an Armistice that was signed in 1953. The armistice ended the actual fighting with a ceasefire, which is simply a "pause" in the war, not its termination.
Peace talks began the day North Korea invaded the south (June 25th 1950.) and continued till hostilities ceased in 1953. Unfortunately a true peace was never found and North Korea continues to bluster and threaten till this day.
Relations have stayed the same between the north and the south Koreas after the Korean War. They have had numerous clashes although better relations seemed possible in 2,000 after the north and south Koreas' leaders met in Pyongyang and decided to work toward peace and cooperation.

The Korean Armistice Agreement was designed to keep peace between the north and south areas of Korea. This agreement had a slogan of "one people."
There are many places in history where people have signed truces and made claims to peace. The Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea where peace talks is Panmunjom.
Peace has never been made. There has been a standoff for 60 years on the lines set between North and South Korea.
When North Korea invaded South Korea in 1950, the USA and most nations in the United Nations saw this invasion as a threat to peace and the possible take over of South Korea by North Korea. In order to keep South Korea a free an independent nation, the USA and the United Nations formed a coalition of armed forces to counter act the North Korean invasion.
NO, actually not. South Korea has a completely different aspect of what North Korea is trying to do. And for sure, they are not completely in peace which means they don't help each other but rather just ignore.
For his work for democracy and human rights in South Korea and in East Asia in general, and for peace and reconciliation with North Korea in particular
Kim Dae-jung, former president of South Korea, won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2000 for his efforts to promote democracy and human rights in South Korea and for his reconciliation policies with North Korea.
Yes, South Korea and North Korea can null and void the ceasefire between the two half's of the countries. North Korea is a very unstable country and they could break the ceasefire at anytime. A ceasefire is not a peace treaty; and can be violated by any party at any time. There are still a number of violent incidents that have occurred between North and South Korea since 1953, such as North Korean tunnelers into South Korea, the attacks and Panmunjom, the attack on the ROKS Cheonan, and the North Korean artillery fire on Yeonpyeong Island.

The Korean war was actually a draw. Basically the war went like this: North Korea (communist) invaded South Korea (democratic) and almost won so the US came in to help South Korea Then the US and South Korea then almost won the war so China interceeded on behalf of North Korea and drove the US and South Korea back to the 38th parellel. There the war stalled out for awhile and eventually a peace treaty was signed between the US and China, not by either Korea. Technically North and South Korea are still at war, it just isn't a shooting war.
