Lots of Germans, yes, did move out of Germany for a while during the Holocaust because they were against Hilter's beliefs against Jews. Of course, the Germans that were Nazis were too obsessed with Hilter's power that they did not move out because they agreed with him. Many Germans were upset with what Hilter was doing because a lot of Germans had connections with Jews. During that time, some Germans were upset with the Nazis because Jewish literature, physics, and arts were considered "bad" and they were banned.

In fact the Lusitania was torpedoed. The Germans had declare the seas around Britain as a war zone to keep out war supplies. They claimed that the Lusitania was carrying such supplies. It was a very unwise move as it turned public opinion in the US against Germany.
Because the Germans that lived had to move.
North, to Germany. Answer: Germany is East of Paris. The Allies formed a front line that ran basically North/South and advanced Eastward. True, there was a thrust across Belgium to the North but that was intended to drive into Germany around the flank.
Up until the tenth century, the Germans were a loose knit group of tribes. Over time they began to form nations. Eventually the people who lived in these nations began to call themselves Germans. The real unification of the Germans took place when Luther published the German Bible in 1534 but this was a unity through language rather than culture. The country of Germany was established in its present form when Otto von Bismarck led the move to unification in 1871. Short answer: They were tribes of people who shared the same culture.

I am confused by your question. Which war did you want to know about? The Americans were allies with Britain. They were cooperative with the UK. If there were US Ships that went after Germany it had to be in World War 1, not World War 2. It would have been a foolish move on the US Navy's part because the Germans would cause more trouble in the Atlantic.
Adolf Hitler had his army invade Poland, remove Polish people and then they had some Germans move into Poland. Poland tried to defend themselves but did not win against the Germans. The French and the English people declared war on Germany due to that invasion.
Today's Germans (2014) don't necessarily have a dire need to leave their country. Germany is well off and has an excellent social net to catch and care for their poor and disabled. If they move to the US, it's most likely for the adventure or to acquire new language skills.
All non-Jews had to move out.
