For many years the world has accepted the story that Hitler died in the fuhrer bunker by shooting himself and the Soviets claimed to have kept a fragment of his skull with the bullet entry hole in KGB archives.

In 2009 however it was proved that the skull was anatomically female and not male.

A number of large aircraft including up to 20 Ju-52s, about six Ju-352s of TG/4, two Focke Wulf Fw200 and two Ju-390s including Hitler's personal Ju-290 A6 aircraft used the improvised runway at Tiergarten in the heart of Berlin. The final flight to the Tiergarten flew out on the night of 29 April 1945.

Hitler's personal plane flew to Prague and then on the night of 27 April 1945 it flew to Barcelona in Spain with 50 unidentified persons on board flown by Hitler's personal pilot. It landed in fog at barcelona and ran off the runway damaging it's tailwheel. The wheel was repaired within two days with parts flown in by a Fw200 Condor.

The aircraft then arrived at Madrid and General Franco's personal driver claims a VIP with his German entourage took over the entire east wing of Franco's palace. The VIP was known as Adi Lupi.

Adi Lupi was treated for a massive heart attack at 3.30am on 1 November 1947 from which he died. It is generally suspected that this man was none other than Adolf Hitler.
