Whichever way you slice it, be it in reference to the Native Americans themselves, the failed colonization of Vinland by the Vikings, or the eventual conquest of significant parts of the Americas by European Powers led by Christopher Columbus, all of these groups are not Jews. However, Columbus did have among his crew a number of Conversos (Jews who had recently converted to Christianity in order to not be exiled from Spain) including his chief medical officer.

The first Jews to arrive in the Americas as Jews (as opposed to Conversos) came in the early 1600s.

This question suggests a very general knowledge of the Book of Mormon. Most Mormons would claim that Jews travelled to the Americas around 500 BCE and established a thriving colony there. Most others, particulary non-Mormon scholars, would dismiss the Book of Mormon as having been written in the nineteenth century, in which case the Jewish people did not discover America.
