Sorry you're a little mistaken here, your source for the arrow to the eye incident is the Bayeux tapestry, a Norman inspired production, depicting the battle of Hasting, intended for Bayeux in France. It was constructed in England and shows Harold Godwinson shot in the eye (but also trampled by a horse which has led to some ambiguity with regards to how he actually died). Hardraada was driven off before The Battle of Hastings at which Godwinson was present; he did not die before the battle of Hastings.

And Harold died by getting shot with a spear just above the right eye. Therefore the Normans won.
