Except for possibly Knightly jousts and tournaments- there was nothing remotely resembling organized sports in the Middle Ages. Drama existed, often outdoor- and was usually on the level of cavalcades ( horse parade type things) and pageants. The Churchmen discouraged what we would now call ( method acting) or strong individualized acts such as.. to give modern examples, Sinatra ( or is that SIN-atra,) or Billy Joel. Collective brands of drama and music were dominant- as in church choirs, passion plays, etc. No Yankees!
