Is the Tea Party movement of the present similar to that of the American Revolution?

Of course, the organizers of the Tea Party would like you to think that they are acting in the tradition of the American Revolution, but personally I see little similarity. The original Boston Tea Party was a protest against a colonial power; the current Tea Party is a protest against a democratically elected government.
