Camp Confidential is just the name of the book but, Camp Lakeview is real.
It's a resort and christian camp in Pennsylvania.
Ann Frank died before the war was over so the camp continued to exist until the Allies found it and arrested or killed the Germans they found there. The men who found the camp worked to save the lives of the people they found. The site of the camp still exists and can be visited.
In "Suddenly Last Summer", the camp closes. In the book, before Dr. Steve announced the camp was going to close, Tori's cousin, Cassie sent her a mail asking her to go to Camp Ohana with her. (Camp Ohana is a surfing camp in Hawaii). She invited Natalie (her best friend in camp) to go with her to Ohana but Natalie declines the offer. The camp eventually closes down and some of Tori's Lakeview friends (Jenna, Sarah, Brynn, Natalie, Priya) went to Camp Walla Walla, a camp also runned by Dr. Steve, so Tori accepts the offer from Cassie and goes to Ohana. She was never heard or seen in the Walla Walla books ever since then. There are 3 books (Sunrise, Sunset, Twilight) dedicated to Ohana and there are 5 books dedicated to Walla Walla (Politically Incorrect, Topsy-Turvy, In It To Win It, Reunion, Extra Credit)
